Monday, December 6: NDI's Miranda Kennedy presented testimony offering economic empowerment and self-sufficiency strategies for the Administration on Developmental Disabilities to take into consideration in the development of their new ADD strategic plan that will address the high level of poverty experienced by individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Testimony was presented at the Renaissance Hotel in Denver Colorado on December 6, 2010. Representatives from developmental disability organizations, family, friends, and self-advocates from the region attended and offered feedback and solutions to ADD on the topics of Childhood, Adulthood, Aging, and Supports from families, caregivers, professionals, and other allies.
