NDI's Johnette Hartnett and Katie Metz travelled to Minnesota's Twin Cities, St. Paul and Minneapolis, last week to co-host an REI Tour Workgroup meeting with the Internal Revenue Service and AccountAbility Minnesota at the local Metro Center for Independent Living. NDI staff returned to one of the original REI Tour Cities to facilitate a discussion surrounding strategies to increase outreach to the disability community regarding VITA/EITC services and Financial Education. It was evident new partnerships are certain to follow in the near future and even flourish at the upcoming Asset Development Summit when the REI Tour returns to the Twin Cities in July.
