NDI Presents at Florida Developmental Disabilities Council Annual Meeting

Michael Roush represented National Disability Institute at the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council’s (FDDC) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida on January 13, 2012. Mr. Roush provided the full council information on NDI, economic empowerment strategies for persons with disabilities and provided an overview of NDI's support from FDDC. NDI is a recipient of a grant from FDDC to create an online version of the Changing Face of Public Benefits curriculum and to increase awareness on financial education and asset development strategies to persons with disabilities in the State of Florida.
The Florida Development Disabilities Council hosted the first Asset Development Summit for Persons with Developmental Disabilities in the country in 2006. Since 2006, the Asset Development Summit model has been replicated in over 30 cities across the country.
