The Director of Louisville Asset Building Coalition (LABC) and the Senior Tax Specialist has a meeting scheduled with the Louisville Goodwill Office for February 23rd. This meeting we will discuss partnership opportunities with LABC and Goodwill.
Louisville Office for Center of Accessible Living - LABC is working on hosting 4 Super Site days in March at CAL. CAL will provide Sign Language Interpreters.
United Way sits on the Steering Committee of the Louisville Asset Building Coalition (LABC). As such, their continued support and involvement has been instrumental in developing and distributing marketing materials, conducting media and non-media outreach events, recruiting volunteers, and routing taxpayers to their “211” line for referral to free tax prep sites.

The Louisville Asset Building Coalition’s Director and a representative from the Mayor’s Office attended the Asset Building Summit in New York. LABC is working with the Disability Office of the Mayor’s Office and United Way’s Disability Office to develop an Action Plan to further implement the Disability Initiative in Louisville. LABC is an Annie E. Casey Coalition so they are able to capture stats from the Preparer Fields by asking the question “Does anyone in your household consider yourself to have a disability?”
