Oklahoma City Goodwill is providing EITC and VITA site information through their stores and through education training.
Progressive Independent Living in Norman distributes EITC information through their office.
Oklahoma City United Way is part of the Oklahoma City Coalition. They provide EITC messages through their partners. Instrumental in obtaining Oklahoma City Mayor’s Proclamation for February as EITC month.
Oklahoma City Mayor’s Office on Disability is aware of the EITC initiative and has had speakers at several meetings to discuss their role in the Metro disABILITY Alliance.
Alliance consists of agencies in the Oklahoma City area that provide support to people with disabilities. They includes Goodwill, Department of Human Services, Department Rehabilitative Services, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Disability Navigators, Oklahoma State Office of Handicapped Concerns, Galt Foundation, Oklahoma City Public Schools Special Services, Rose State College EmPower Works, Cherokee Nation Job Corp and Metro Technology Center. Alliance has a Resource Fair scheduled for March 15, 2007. Relationship Manager and National Disability Institute is scheduled for presentation at Oklahoma Governor’s Conference on Developmental Disabilities in April.
Oklahoma City League for the Blind and their Credit Union are interested in Special Return Preparation Day in March.
