Disability Initiative Workgroup Members

Goodwill

Goodwill has been involved in the local EITC coalition for several years with their emphasis being placed on outreach to their clients with disabilities. They have provided EITC information and free tax prep information to their clients and others. On February 15th, AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers (who are certified to prepare taxes) will be going to Goodwill in Lakeland to prepare tax returns for the employees with disabilities.

The Arc

The ARC has been involved in the distribution of EITC materials to their clients in the community.

Easter Seals

Easter Seals has been involved in the local Prosperity Campaign of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties for several years. Their emphasis is placed on providing EITC outreach in the community and promotion of the Prosperity campaign’s free tax preparation sites.

UCP

Achieve Tampa Bay has been a member of the Prosperity campaign of Hilsborough and Pinellas Counties for several years. Their emphasis is on promoting EITC and Prosperity Campaign’s free tax preparation sites.

Independent Living

Self-Reliance, Inc. has been a member of the local Prosperity Campaign for several Years. Their emphasis is on promoting EITC and Prosperity Campaign’s free tax preparation sites to those in the community.

United Way

Very involved within the Prosperity Campaign of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties in promoting EITC, financial literacy and free tax preparation sites. United Way has an ongoing financial literacy program.
